  Student Visas

A student visa is required for citizens of some countries when staying in Spain for a duration that surpasses the time alotted for a tourist visa. In most cases, this is 90 days.

Visa requirements vary by country, and can change unexpectedly, so students should always check with the closest Spanish embassy or consulate for specific requirements and information.

In most cases the following is needed for a student to request a student visa:

-Letter of good health from your doctor
-A criminal record check showing you have no criminal history, available at your local police department
-A bank statement showing you have funds to support your stay in Spain.
-A letter from CLIC or Benedictine College showing your acceptance into the program, length of stay and that payment has been made so that you are supported with housing while in Spain (this letter in some cases might remove the need for the above bank statement). This letter will be issued once full payment has been received for your course.
-Visa fees payable to the Embassy or Consulate.

Visas may take from 6-10 weeks to be received, so please make sure you apply early.

Also, most visa applications must be presented  in person, which means you must physically go to the embassy.
