The CLIC IH Cultural Program is a dynamic and unique part of CLIC student life. CLIC IH has a full-time staff member dedicated to the creation and promotion of our weekly cultural program and excursions. Every Monday that week’s activities are made public, both on the web and in a newsletter available at the Cultural Program desk. Every week CLIC IH offers at least 4 different activities, including sports events, visits to historic places of interest in the city, exhibitions, social encounters for students, film showings, and more. The majority of these activities are free or have a nominal fee. Additionally, every week 4 hours of optional academic lectures on a subject related to Spanish society and culture are offered free to students, such as: Spanish Cuisine, Spanish Civil War History, Flamenco Dancing, Art History, Phonetics, Spanish Pronunciation, etc.
Through its Cultural Program Coordinator, CLIC IH also organizes a variety of excursions, including half-day (Carmona, Itálica, etc), full-day (Cádiz, Ronda, Córdoba, Jérez de la Frontera, etc) and overnight excursions (Madrid, Granada, Morroco, etc). Excursions are optional, offered once a week, and economical for CLIC IH students. Except in the Benedictine Semester and FoCUS program, excursions are not included in overall prices. |
