CLIC IH courses are include the following: > General Spanish Intensive course: the objective is to enable the student to interact and orally express himself in basic Spanish terms in different every-day situations and to write texts describing experience and impressions. > Spanish Civilization course: the students acquire a basic knowledge about the different aspects of contemporary Spain, whist continuing to hone their language skills.
> Spanish Literature and Cinema: the students acquire a good command of Spanish literature through the reading of passages from books of well-known Spanish authors, and their film versions.
> EU in a Nutshell (English): the students acquire the basic historic, economic, political and legal concepts necessary for understanding the European Union as a cultural and commercial partner.
> Arabic Heritage and Legacy in Spain: students discover, identify and understand the Arabic heritage and legacy in architecture, lifestyle, cuisine, culture and popular traditions in Spain.
> Spanish for Medical Students: this Spanish for Special Purposes course is directed toward students working or planning to work in health related fields or other career paths related to health services. It covers basic anatomical vocabulary, and elementary dialogue for treating Hispanic patients. It also deals with notions of health care and the Spanish health care syste. |
