Metro service in Seville has been in the planning stages for a number of years. It finally came to fruition this year in 2009, with one metro line, number One, completed, and more to come. It is therefore still quite limited, but given that it is new, this is not surprising.  For now the closest metro stop is at Puerta Jerez, less than 10 minutes walking distance from CLIC, and beside the University of Seville campus on Calle San Fernando. 

 

Ticket Prices

A basic ticket for a one-way ride is 1,30 Euros, with no " saltos", which are jumps between metro zones (3 zones total). This means the first trajectory from the from the Ciudad Expo stations in Mairena until San Juan Bajo.

A ticket with one "salto", or going between Blas Infante  and the Universidad Pablo Olavide costs 1,55 Euro.

A ticket with two "saltos", or going between the Universidad Pablo Olavide and Olivar de Quintos, cost 3,50 Euros.

Round-trip tickets are, according to saltos:0 saltos: 2,60, 1 salto: 3,10, 2 saltos: 3,50 Euros.

All day passes are 4,50 Euros.

 

Refillable Cards

A refillable metro card, "bono", is a bit cheaper:,80 Euros for 0 saltos, 1,15 for 1 salto, and 1, 35 for 2 saltos. This basic Bonoc does not permit transfers, "transbordos," between the metro and other public transport in Seville.

A second type of refillable metro card DOES permit transfers between the metro and the rest of forms of transport in Seville (bus, tram, TUSSAM), and the prices are the same as the Bono without transfers, however when the total sum of transfers made within a two hour window is taken into account, when refilling the card, the card holder receives a 20% discount on these which is applied back to the card.

Mon-Thurs, 6,30 a.m. until 23,00.

Friday: 6,30 until 2,00 a.m.

Sat: 7,30 until 2,00 a.m.

Sun: 7,30 until 23,00.
