| | | | Seville is a growing city with diverse transport options some of these quite unique. Last year a city-wide bike path was constructed to support the new public bike system, extremely convenient and ecologically-friendly. A new Metro system is up and running with one completed line so far, as well as an above-ground tram. The veteran system, the city buses, criss-cross the city and can take you just about anywhere you want to go. One feature of this system is how close they all run to the school. Directly behind CLIC at Plaza Nueva several public bike stations are located. The tram picks up at Plaza Nueva as well, and the metro is less than 10 minutes walk at Puerta Jerez. Several bus stops are at less than five minutes walk as well. Also the system is integrated, in that mutli-travel passes (bonos multiviaje) can be bought that apply to the bus, tram and metro equally. Finally, what makes the Seville public transport system shine is its modernity. The bus schedules can be consulted real-time on mobile phones and over the internet to check when the next bus arrives at your stop. The public bikes are also technologically savvy, as all stations can be looked at real-time as well to see how many bikes are available at a given station, how many docking spots are open, or where the closest station with bikes or docks available is located. |
